2026-2027 Ewing District Calendar

 

Lore Week of Respect - October 5-9, 2026

At Lore we invite students to participate in meaningful kindness activities inspired by the theme "Throw Kindness Like a Boomerang!", showing how respect and kindness can return to us and create lasting positive effects in our own lives, the lives of others, and our entire school community!

10/05/26 - Monday - RESPECT - Give 3 kind compliments today.  Treat others the way you want to be treated.

10/06/26 - Tuesday - KINDNESS - Do one kind act for someone without being asked.  Kindness can be a smile, helping hand or nice word.

10/07/26 - Wednesday - INCLUSION - Invite someone new to lunch or recess.  Make sure EVERYONE feels welcome.

10/08/26 - Thursday - BE AN UPSTANDER - Write a kind note to someone who could use a smile.  If you see someone treated unfairly, speak up or tell a trusted adult.

10/09/26 - Friday - BLUE & GOLD - Wear blue and gold to show we stand together against bullying! Share the kindest thing you did this week.

Lore PTA RedBerry Fundraiser - Friday, October 9, 2026

Mention Lore Elementary PTA at checkout for a percentage to be donated back to the PTA!  Event runs from 12:00-10:00 PM at RedBerry in the TCNJ Campus Town.  Want to get together with Lore friends and their families?  Meet there from 6:00-7:00PM.

Champions - Before Care and After Care Program

This year the district's before care and afterschool program is being run by Champions/Kinder Care.  Students must be pre-registered.  Before care starts at 6:30 am.  After care ends at 6:00 pm.  To register, please contact

Lore Breakfast Program

The Lore breakfast program will continue to be available for any student.  The program begins at 8:15.  Students pay for breakfast to attend and can enter Door 1.

Once a member, you have an active voice in PTA decision-making and voting rights for electing officials, allocating and spending funds, planning events, etc.  Help to plan and facilitate events that bring the school, families, and our community together.

How are the dues spent?

$5 goes to the national and state PTA associations, which provide ongoing support, resources, and guidance throughout the year

The Ewing Public Schools will be doing nightly staged roll-outs of iPad app installs beginning at 4PM. 'Click ' the link above for the instruction guide to ensure the proper installation of the app and minimize failed installs. 
 
 
If your child will not be in school please call the Main Office at 609-538-9800 ext. 6100 by 9:15 a.m. as it is required that we account for each child. Absences must be followed by a written note explaining the reason for the absence. 

If you wish to apply money to your child's lunch account please visit the website www.payschoolscentral.com.  

 Bollinger K-12 Voluntary Student Accident Insurance – please go to website to complete application for your child’s coverage.  Instructions for Parents:

Visit www.bollingerschools.com

Under the Parents section, select “Purchase Coverage”

Put in School Name     Select “NJ”     Click on Search

Click on “View Insurance Products/Purchase Coverage”

Click on “Buy Online Now”

Select the School and pick the coverage for “24 Hour Accident Insurance”

 
PARENTS/GUARDIANS WHO WISH TO APPLY FOR MEAL BENEFITS:
You may complete a paper application or use the following two methods to apply:
 *   On-Line Application: at https://ewing.payschools.com. You will need to have all of your children’s Student ID numbers.  The application will be determined upon completion.
 *  “Fill-to-print” Application at: /Page/111 . You may scan and email the completed, signed application to foodservice@ewingboe.org, or return it to the Food Service Office at 220 Ewingville Rd. or send it through the US mail to Ewing Twp Food Service, 220 Ewingville Rd., Ewing, NJ 08638.
 
PLEASE NOTE:  If your students attended Ewing Schools in June 2016 and where eligible for free or reduced price meals, they will receive these benefits until Oct 20th or until you complete a new application.  If there is a new student in your household (i.e. Kindergartener) you must complete a new household application before the new student receives free/reduced meals.     Please call Food Service if you have questions (609) 538-9800 x7106
